Battle Ready Decree

For Father’s day at my church, Grace World Outreach church in Brooksville Florida, each man was given a BATTLE READY DECREE book mark with the information below. This decree can and should apply to males as well as females.

I shall be predictable to God, but unpredictable to the world.

I shall not stop moving forward nor will I be moved by opposition.

My ways are straight, strong and steadfast.

I am not fearful, worried, intimidated, nervous or provoked by the enemy.

God instructs me with wisdom, discernment, foresight, stability, skill, talent, direction,

Authority, energy, intensity, might and power during the battle and away from the battle.

I shall not relent, cave in, ease up, fall short or give up.

My Godly Spirit does not sleep, rest, slumber, relax, letup, lie down, pause, or give up in

the sight of evil.

My eyes shall see, behold, detect, identify, observe, discern, heed, recognize and witness the Power of God.

My ears shall hear, catch, devour, hearken, heed, receive, understand and apprehend the Word of God.

My mouth shall speak, communicate, deliver, declare and make known the Promise and Plan of God.

I will walk, march, advance, and exercise in all the fruits of the Spirit.

I will seek, chase, pursue, desire, hunger, and thirst to work in all the Gifts of the Spirit.

I am a person of Honor, Valor, Respect, Faith and Courage because I am a Decorated Child of God.

The Dash Poem

I heard my Pastor read THE DASH POEM at a funeral recently. It was written by Linda Ellis, and I want to give her all the credit for this beautiful poem. I am sure that many people have her or read it, but it is always a great reminder to re-think of its enter meaning, and for those who have never read or heard this poem, this will be a treat for you.

Senator Bob Dole…

American Idol Winner, David Cook…

Linda Ellis Reads The Dash…

Please enjoy The Dash poem written by Linda Ellis.
This poem has been enjoyed by millions around the world.
The words have changed many lives.
They could change yours, too…

The Dash
by Linda Ellis copyright 1996

I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on the tombstone
from the beginning…to the end.

He noted that first came the date of birth
and spoke the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
that they spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved them
know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
the cars…the house…the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.

So, think about this long and hard.
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
to consider what’s true and real
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile,
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy is being read,
with your life’s actions to rehash…
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent YOUR dash?

Transformation- A Christian Perspective

What is the TRANSFORMATION process of life and death? This is My CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE of what I have read in the BIBLE.

Last Sunday as I was greeting people coming through our church doors, and getting them to smile, one lady looked at me and said I can’t smile. I asked her why and she said that her husband died.

I wasn’t sure what to share with her other than tell her that I was sorry to hear that, and that if she would keep in her mind the good times that she spent with him, and understand that he is now in heaven and rejoicing with Christ Jesus.

I wasn’t sure if her husband was saved or not and I felt it was not the right time to ask her that question.

Experiencing The Heart Of Jesus

Since that Sunday morning, it has been on my mind what else could I have shared with this broken hearted lady.

This morning as I did my Bible study, I was reading about the transformation in a workbook called, Experiencing the heart of Jesus. The chapter that I was studying from was teaching about death and life, and in it, it said, the apostle Paul would like us to change the way we think about the burial process. The graveside service is not a burial, but a planting. The cemetery is not the resting place, but rather the transformation place.

What Does The Bible Say

In John 11:25, Jesus said, “ I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will have life even if they die.”

The chapter in the workbook went on to say, most assume that death has no purpose. It is to people what the black hole is to space, a mysterious, inexplicable, distasteful, all consuming power. Avoid it at all cost. And we do. We do all we can to live and not die. God, however, says must die in order to live. When you sow a seed, it must die in the ground before it can grow. What we see as the ultimate tragedy, HE sees it as the ultimate triumph. And when a Christian dies, it’s not a time to despair, but a time to trust.

And for a season your soul will be in heaven while your body is in the grave. But the seed buried in the earth will blossom in heaven. Your soul and body will reunite, and you will be like Jesus. A body without corruption, a body without weakness, a body without dishonor, a body identical to the body of Jesus.

Does this body seem closer to death than ever before? It should. It is. And unless Christ comes first, your body will be buried like a seed in the ground.

My question to you is, will your seed wither and die in the ground or blossom?

The Purity Of The Finch

Look at this picture of this beautiful little bird, so pure and innocent. I was told that this bird is a Finch.

One day at church, I heard a little thump on the outside glass door leading into the church, and when I heard the noise, for some reason I knew what it was.

This little Finch flew into the glass door and landed on the walkway. It was so sad to see what had happened because as I looked at the bird from the inside, two other ladies came over and also looked, and none of us was sure if the bird was going to make it, because we could see that its breathing was at a rapid pace.

I cracked the door just a little to see if maybe the Finch would fly away, but it didn’t move at all.

One of the ladies said a prayer asking God to heal, protect and spare this little one, and with that, the two of them walked away.

I went and got some water and placed it in front of the bird, but I never saw it drink any, but to my surprise I was able to reach out and gently stroke its back with one finger, and after about five minutes later, I watched this pure innocent Finch fly away.

Since then it has been on my mind about the purity and innocence of our children, and sometimes they too run into trouble and need prayer and someone to maybe just take the time to listen to what they have to say or pay attention to what’s going on in their life.

We should always keep our children in prayer, but we should also take the time to give them a little hug, a little alone time between you and them. Maybe once a month, take the time or find the time to take your child out on a date, and to be honest with you, I have been guilty of not doing this, but that is going to change. The love and time we give to our children now will be what they remember later and maybe transfer that same love and time to their children.

You may ask, what about me as an adult? Yes we all go through trials and tribulations and we are no different than our children. Sometimes all we need is a little hug, or just someone to take the time and show that they care about what’s going on in our life.

Just like the beautiful, pure and innocent little Finch, all it needed was , first a prayer, then a touch from someone to show that they care and with that the Finch was pleased enough to get the courage and strength to fly away happy.

Promise Rings Verses Purity Rings

There are many different thoughts and actions taken concerning the true meaning of giving or receiving a purity ring or a promise ring.

These thoughts and actions have a lot to do with the meaning of marriage to the person that is getting or receiving these special rings.

A promise ring may be given to a best friend symbolizing a commitment of friendship that will endure forever.

A promise ring has many different meaning to many people. The ring or rings to one couple may be an enduring friendship, but to the next couple its meaning will be a solemn vow of chastity until their marriage day.

There are times that two very good girlfriends will buy promise rings, not to exchange between each other, but as a pledge between each other that they will wait until they find a mate worthy enough to marry and these rings between each of them is an accountability between, or a bond to the commitment.

Whatever the rings may mean between the two people who share the rings, it’s a special relationship that can only strengthen their friendship.

Purity rings also have different meanings. Purity rings for girls is sometimes given from fathers to daughters as a way for the daughters to commit to abstain from any type of sex in anyway, until they are married. It’s a religious symbol, symbolizing their daughters commitment first to God and then to their future husband. It’s a vow of chastity and a first step towards a wedding ring.

A purity ring can also be worn by young adults or adults of any age, just to show others that they are not out there looking to meet up and have a sexual relationship with anyone until marriage.

Think about how please God will be to the person wearing this purity ring, knowing that they have committed their body and soul to HIM first and then to their future mate.

What makes a piece of jewelry a purity ring is the intention with which the wearer wears it; the ring itself can look like almost anything. Musician Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers had his purity ring made at Disney World, while his brother Kevin got his purity ring at Tiffany’s. Even if your purity ring does not have any messages or symbols on it that show other people that it is a purity ring, simply wearing it can be part of your spiritual armor. In an age when so many people get married because they want to be the star of a wedding and not because they want a lifelong commitment, a purity ring can also be a reminder to the wearer that real relationships are not just about jewelry and material things. You don’t have to rush into a relationship just so you can show off your engagement ring, because your ring finger isn’t empty as it is. The purity ring is a reminder to you and to everyone else that you are free to wait for true love and for the lifelong commitment of marriage., has some beautiful promise and purity rings to choose from at great affordable prices. Also many other products.

Purity rings for girls

What is a purity ring? Purity rings are a symbol of chastity and a way for young people to express their promise to God that they will practice abstinence until marriage. When society puts pressure on teenagers and even pre-teenagers to behave in an increasingly sexualized way and the media encourages young men to be players and young women to be video vixens, with all the jewelry that those media images entail, purity rings for girls are a way for young people to show that faith and chastity are beautiful.

Most purity rings are simply rings made of silver or stainless steel, although purity rings made of gold also exist. The rings first became popular in the 1990s, a time when more than half of the teenagers in the United States lost their virginity before graduating from high school. Purity rings for girls originated as a visible expression of chastity among Christian teens. In the 1990s, there was so much peer pressure for teenagers to become sexually active; purity rings acted as a way to stop the conversation about premarital sex before it even started.

The purity rings for girls on our site, are engraved with messages that express the wearer’s commitment to remain pure until marriage. Some of them have Bible verses, and others say, “I will wait for my beloved.” Our site offers purity rings for both men and women. Purity ring wearers usually wear the rings on the wedding ring finger, since chastity is as much of a commitment as marriage. Some churches even hold ceremonies in which purity ring wearers publicly announce their commitment to abstain from sex until marriage, and sometimes clergy even bless the rings. Celebrities who wear purity rings include singer Teyana Taylor and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. Singer and reality TV actress Jessica Simpson wore a purity ring from the time she was in middle school until she married her first husband Nick Lachey. has many to choose from.
